Municipal and university courts, club guest rules, what to pack and finding a partner.

When you travel for work or on holiday, you don't have to take a break from tennis. With a little preparation you can find a court and a partner wherever you go.

1. Check municipal courts

Many municipalities open their sports facilities and tennis courts through online booking portals. Look at the sports facilities page of the city or district you're visiting; you may find free or affordable options. In Antalya, for example, some of the Metropolitan Municipality's courts are free with a booking.

2. University facilities

Some universities open their sports facilities to guests and publish an official price list. You may need ID to enter the campus; read the booking rules in advance.

3. Club guest rules

Private clubs usually require membership; some only admit guests accompanied by a member. Call ahead to ask about guest conditions and fees.

4. What to pack

  • Your own racket and a spare overgrip
  • Shoes suited to the surface you'll play on
  • A can of new balls (not every facility sells them)

5. Find a partner

The hardest part in a new city is finding someone to play with. With kortyo., when you visit another city you can see the matches and courts there and set up a match with players at your level. kortyo. is starting in Antalya.
